stewart falls.

I've been wanting to go back to Sundance for a while, so the morning after I got here we drove up the canyon and hiked up the stewart trail. Every couple of minutes I'd find myself saying, "I can't believe how pretty this place is". Tate wanted to do a little blogging too:

Hello lurkers,
My name is Tate im Allison's bf, today we went to Sundance to do a little hiking and to welcome the new season. We decided to hike up to some waterfalls. I was going to get in but wussed out and decided that the 40 degree water wasn't to inviting. Here are a few pictures from our adventure, go get lost and enjoy the cool weather before the snow gets here.

taken for a ride.

And I'm off to Salt Lake! I can't guarantee I'll be blogging much throughout the week but I can promise I'll be back with tons of photos and polaroids of this mini adventure. If not, have a lovely week!

the weekend.

Spent the weekend painting pots with my sister in law and chugging way too much pumpkin spice hot cocoa with homemade whipped cream. Warm milk always gives me tummy aches, but I feel like making warm drinks with water should be a sin. The aches are worth it anyways.

T minus one day until I fly down to Salt Lake City for the week to visit my boyfriend. I'm practically bursting at the seams!

frog loving.

The other day we found a frog just outside of our front door and we thought he looked... a little parched. Long story short we cleaned out the backyard pond, picked him up, and let him go there. Hope I made his day!

still left with me.

A few photos that I haven't posted from over the summer (and just a few weeks ago). Underwater pictures, making lemon bars, my out of focus desk of random stuff. I'm clinging onto these small moments while it's getting dark earlier and earlier everyday. Fall, here we come!

wish list.

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5
Tired of skulls and diamonds yet? Too bad. I'm not. I wish I had photos from the weekend but all I did was work and organize. For the fall I'm hoping to fill most of my fingers with rings and these ones are pretty perfect. And what's up with the texture of those pants? Stunning.

Happy Monday everyone. Cheers to an inspiring week.

paper diamonds.

When you work at an art store you're always brainstorming on your next project (and you wanna spend your entire paycheck on pretty paper). So after work yesterday I came home and made this... I hope these diamond shapes never go out of style because I'm obsessed. A while back I found a similar image on tumblr for my inspiration and altered it to my own style.

note to self: work on more crafts when you have free time.

pyrex love.

My weakness for pyrex bowls. I'm starting to realize there's no reason to have this many when you use only one or two bowls per meal... but who can say no to a really good deal (all of these have been thrifted from random markets and antique stores). Today I'm dreaming of a kitchen will all of these bowls and this fridge.

underwater.

Finally got an underwater camera and after the hike at Rattlesnake Ridge, I wanted nothing more than to swim and try out this cam. This is probably the first and last time I'll use it for the season (it's getting chilly faster than I thought) but I'm just happy I got to use it once.

rattlesnake lake.

It looked like this was going to be the last warm weekend of the season, so my sister in law and I took full advantage of it with a hike close to home. For such a short hike (1.9 miles) I'd say this view is pretty rewarding. Every time I'm sitting on these rocks I can't get over how lucky I am to live in Washington... I mean look at all of those green trees!
26

happy weekend.

I have no official plans for the weekend, and I'm totally okay with that. But if the weather plays nice it'd be fun to rent canoes along Lake Washington or hike new trails. I'll be back Monday, have a happy weekend!

inspiration, lately.

I made one of these inspiration boards last week or so and it was so fun I might start doing it regularly. Yes, no? This week I'm inspired by lots of reds and greens, love (call me cliché), and the transition into autumn. I think we're all in this mode of "I'm excited for fall but not quite ready to leave summer". But who can say no to slouchy hats and cable net sweaters?

turquoise love.

When I saw these silver and turquoise rings I literally couldn't see my life without them (you think I'm kidding). I was planning to wait until the end of the weekend to buy them but ended up going to the store later that day. And I've been wearing them since then. As for the necklace, it isn't real silver or anything but I picked it up at the market for 5 bucks after a bit of bargaining.

I love turquoise. That's all.

20

satisfied mind.

I carried my camera around my shoulder 24/7 during this trip to Wallace, Idaho but I feel like I didn't take too many photos. Too busy enjoying the moment, I think. But here's a few from the mini-vacation... I like empty wasps nests, cemeteries, and my "jack + jill" room.

all tomorrows parties.

Oh weekend, please don't end. I've been having the best time over here at our family getaway home. There's a huge antique market with over 100 vendors going on just a couple of blocks away so I walk there at least three times a day. And when I get bored of that, I walk into town to all of the other thrift stores. I've discovered I'm pretty good at bargaining, so I've scored way too many Pyrex bowls and a few turquoise rings. I'm telling you, this tiny town is a thrifter's heaven.
