baby bunny love.

One of my roommates lives on a farm near Rexburg, and has way too many animals. And one of her bunnies just had baby bunnies... which I kind of live for. So she took a few of us over to her place and I about died with all of the baby bunny love:

bunnies in a bucket. #cuteoverload

Will do anything for this little gem. Already named her Plum. Do I know its gender yet? no. Am I little crazy? maybe. My heart is almost exploding right now with all of this bunny love...

the SIL's birthday.

It was my sister-in-law's birthday this weekend so (obviously) I came down to Provo for the weekend. I made her this little birthday flower crown and she freaking rocks it. Or maybe she's just really good at taking photos:

We drove down to Salt Lake to check out that new fancy mall (and bought way too much stuff) then headed to Park City to explore around.

yup, fur hats and feather headpieces.

Can't get enough of turquoise. But way out of my price range. I did, however, purchase a pair of turquoise earrings *literally* size of a grain of sand because they were 6 dollars and all I could afford...

Verdict: This weekend was amazing! Had a really great time celebrating Tanya's birthday. Sometimes I wish I lived in Provo so I could be with family all of the time, but this little town in Idaho is fun too. Happy birthday Tanya!

romance theatre.

The Mighty Sequoyah from Salt Lake City came to the Burg this weekend and played at the Romance, a super old theatre in town that just reopened. Should've taken pictures of the outside and interior of this place, but I was too distracted by these guys:

Such a great performance. Next month they're doing a tour around the west coast and finishing up in Rexburg I believe. Anxiously waiting until then! Maybe you'll like their music too....

taco bus.

Found this taco truck right in the middle of town yesterday and I'm still wondering how I haven't discovered it before:

My favorite part of this truck might be this super old tv playing mexican soap operas. And that you can actually order and eat inside of the bus (!)

This plate: $4.50. I literally can't get over how good this place is. To be honest, my friend and I were smiling the whole drive home because of our satisfied tummies. It just felt so right. Definitely beats Taco Bell, which is almost my second home. Hah gotta love blog posts that are centered around food.....

almost a heat wave.

My friends came up from Provo to see our other friend open up his mission call (Las Vegas!) so we showed them around Rexburg for weekend. And it was almost a heat wave over here. I'm talking 60 degrees heat wave. Oh trust me, this is hot for Rexburg. So we got in my green spaceship car, blasted this fantastic band Cults down Main Street, and found ourselves at an ice cream shop:

(heh heh clearly she doesn't understand that 60 degrees deserves only a tshirt)

After we ate snickerdoodle and moosetracks ice cream we took advantage of the sun outside and slacklined and climbed trees (ha, obviously we're from washington). And then went snowboarding on the iciest mountain on earth and ate one pound burgers at Big Juds. Overall, a pretty  gooood day in the Burg.

note to self: but in all seriousness, I think I might have the greatest friends ever. Maybe it's because they understand (and accept) my social awkwardness. Or they don't care that I laugh at the stupidest things. And probably because our conversations are so freaking random, like the possibility of a four-dimensional space or how Thom Yorke can create perfect lyrics. And its exciting and incredibly inspiring that my friends are choosing to serve a mission for two years. yay for good friends!

not so insignificant afterall.

I found this video on another blog recently and it needs to be shared. I keep finding myself watching the video, thinking about it for a bit, and then clicking replay. Over and over again. Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson shares what he thinks is the most astounding fact of the universe.

Hit that play button for the astronomical eloquence while I work on chemistry homework for so long that everyone thinks I've died (and I might have!)

shooting.

I was busy doing homework when I got a call to go shooting. Yes please! I've only been once a couple of summers ago, so I immediately took the offer and we drove to (literally) the middle of nowhere:

(crazy lunatic lady laughing at who knows what)

I was pretty freaking crappy at first (ehh I'm still pretty bad), but I kind of got the hang of it and shot a couple of those orange clay pigeons and broke a few empty coke bottles. Next time the weather is semi-okay outside... im going shooting!
