in a zombie apocalypse i'd eat you last.

I made this a couple of weeks ago on PicMonkey and I've been waiting for the perfect moment to share it. heh. I get to see this guy in three days so I'm pretty excited (I still think looks cute with zombie scars and neon eyes).

Happy halloween, friends! What are your plans?!

donut party.

Last night we went to a family friends for their annual home made donut party and I should be ashamed at how many I ate; but I'm not. Halloween is my favorite holiday so that cute skeleton banner with the black and white polka dot backdrop is getting me that much more into the spirit.

note to self: Make a seasonal banner for thanksgiving.

still here.

I promise I still blog. Sometimes retail life and homework consumes you, you know? These photos aren't mine (although I wish I was cool as that couple above) but Herschel Supply has some sick backpacks and duffels that are perfect for the weekend or a day hike.

Other than this really random non-sponsored post, this week should be filled with home-made donut parties, a lot of candy, and disney halloween movies. Happy (early) halloween!

keep your eyes ahead.

We found this giant leaf close to home and I promise it's not an illusion. It's really autumn guys, and I'm feeling gooood changes ahead. I'm getting ahold of my emotions and feeling super optimistic about my future in general (agh so cliché). I have 'on and off' days where I feel closed off and extremely sensitive and don't like talking about what's going on in my life but it's just so much easier tell people (and yourself) how you feel. I didn't realize I couldn't talk about my feelings until I heard people talking behind my back about it. But I'll have you know that I'm extremely happy and that's really all I can ask for.

whatever makes you happy.

If I ever get around to it maybe I'll post real pictures again. I'm genuinely sorry for yet another inspiration board post, but I can't help myself (Pinterest and Etsy seem to be taking over my life). But you really can't go wrong with Radiohead lyrics on a simple black background. Or better yet a triangle shaped diamond. I mean, seriously!?

inspiration, lately.

No specific color scheme this time, but I like all of these photos together. I keep finding myself picking out small things that are robins egg blue and light pink (like paint or cardstock). And I'd kill for a custom made neon sign too (or just that one above) but I can't even talk about the prices. Hope you have an inspiring weekend!

orange or white.

When it's not raining in Seattle, you take advantage of the outdoors. So this morning we drove to the local pumpkin patch (there's something about picking your own pumpkin off of its stem) and saw 7 week old calves and a ton of pumpkins. I found that perfect white pumpkin and once we got home painted a face on it. Officially ready for halloween.
29

snuggle week.

Guess what? I get to spend an entire week with my big sister and her babies. I've had Jane snuggled in my arms all day long and I can't wait until the morning to do it all again. Being a sister and aunt is pretty fun :)

fall style.

If I had an extra 200 dollars for that flannel shirt, I'd buy it and literally never take it off; not to mention that ombre sweater and Penfield coat. It's rainy and windy here in Seattle so I'm daydreaming of warm and functional (but also fashionable) clothing. Now if I could only find something that's in my budget...

note to self: thrift shop this week for a fall sweater.

lately.

I spent the entire weekend watching scary movies/shows and fighting off a soar throat with tons of homemade chicken noodle soup. So, I didn't take any pictures (you probably don't want to see a picture of me in my baggy pink robe and red crocs that I wear as slippers anyways). But lately I've been wearing my new green coat, spray painting animals, thinking about these sunglasses nonstop, and decorating for halloween. Those skeletons lights are my favorite.

for the record.

paper line- Acorn Avenue by Crate Paper

There are few things better than a good paper line and an evening project. I made this for a display at work for an autumn line and had the chance to take it home and work on it there. I used a label maker, my typewriter, and added a few instax photos (that have good memories but aren't too sentimental). This fall has proven to be a crafty one; and I couldn't be happier.
37

finally.

1 // 2

I really wouldn't mind seeing these shoes in my closet (though the second pair is literally 500 dollars). And I'm half glad those red boots are sold out because I was so close to spending too much money; but they're still fun to look at, right? It's finally boot season and I'm more than ready to start wearing some cute shoes under cloudy weather.
25

crafts.

My latest craft, a miniature stained frame with geometric paper and a tiny deer. Sometimes the smallest crafts are the best ones. I'm trying to find some cute DIY halloween decorations but for some reason pinterest doesn't have anything I'm dying to make (which is strange because that's always my go-to inspiration). Any ideas?
22

smile and click.

I had nine photos left on my instax for the weekend in Utah and I told myself I wasn't going to come home with any unused film. And I love how every single one came out. I can't wait for a wall filled entirely of instax memories someday. There's something about polaroids where you just smile and click and wait for that photo to come out, then reminisce about those good times... that happened 60 seconds ago.

sundance pt 2.

After our hike up Stewart Falls we rode the ski lift up and down the mountain. The leaves are starting to change here and the air is crisp (you know exactly what I mean). We made sure to hop on the chair  lift where no one was in front or behind us, and it kind of felt like we had the whole mountains to ourselves. This is definitely one of my top ten favorite times.

note to self: scrapbook these photos as soon as possible.

off to the races.

I've been to a lot of Tate's races, but since cyclocross season has started I'm really into it. We went to a race at a local park and another morning drove up to Snowbird (a ski resort). The weather was perfect for both races, and there were a lot of people watching and cheering them on. I take a ton of photos while Tate's racing, but these are just a few. He looks good racing ;)

turn of the century.

I have waaay too many photos to share from our day at the amusement park, but this ride deserves its own post. It's called the Turn of the Century and I can't say I've seen a prettier ride. The pinks, reds, blues and the big bulb lights. We went on the swings a couple of times in the afternoon and went once more as our last ride at the park. We also managed to take a couple of polaroids while swinging (I'm finally getting less stingy at using instax film). But it's confirmed; this ride is the best.

hello october and your grey skies and red trees and crinkly leaves. I'm back from my trip to SLC and I already terribly miss those afternoon movie dates and long drives up the canyon with my man (you'll be seeing a lot of photos from the trip this week). Let's make this month a good one with a lot of crafting, camera collecting, and sweater wearing. happy october.
