bring it on.

Oops. Sorry I've been absent lately... mid terms suck. This photo was taken way back in December when my family went to Seattle after christmas but I still remember how fun it was walking around town discovering old brick walls and taking way too many photos. March is going to be busy busy (I'm going to Utah, Las Vegas, and San Francisco!) but I'll have to remember moments like these in order to keep me sane. March, bring it on!

honeymoon destination.

We're going to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for our honeymoon!! I can hardly wait. We've been saving money here and there so we can play in Mexico, but I couldn't help myself to buy a new skirt and a Kanken bag (that way I can lug around a million cameras at once). I'm looking forward to warm weather, no cellphones, and the beach. Paradise is just a little over a month away...

Have you been to Cabo before? If so we'd love to hear your favorite things to do there!

my parents are rad.

Even though my parents are 800 miles away from Tate and I, they have been so helpful with the wedding plans. Pinterest is a bad and good thing when you see stuff for weddings (mostly because the best things are the most expensive) but my parents are so creative they can make and re-create almost anything. I was half kidding when I sent that "LOVE" link to my dad because I thought it'd be impossible, but he started making it and two weeks later it's almost done. And all of that fabric?! I'm dying over here. Our reception is at an old schoolhouse and the stage will have the LOVE letters and fabric wall on it. To say I'm excited is an understatement. My parents are so rad.

american dog derby race.

On Saturday morning there was a dog derby race just outside of town. Anything that involves huskies I'm there in a heartbeat! So we got up early, ate McDonalds for breakfast, and headed up to Ashton (in the same location from the family summer vacation). Tate and I had such a good time at the race; you can tell these dogs love what they do and all they want to do is run run run. This was the perfect way to spend our three day weekend!

hearts on hearts.

Our Valentines evening was low key but it was perfect. Grilled cheese, tomato soup, and a heart brownie cake. Can't wait to spend many many more years with you, Tate!

happy love day.

❤ ❤
I wouldn't say I'm a hopeless romantic but I do fall for red and pink heart decorations. Not many people know this about me, but I l o v e collecting vintage valentine cards. I've been gathering cards for a couple of years now and they're so special to me I keep them in a tin box stored away. I wish valentine cards these days had gold foiling and illustrations like these. Happy love day!

chili and friends.

We went up to the local ski resort last night because our church had a sweet deal for cheap lift tickets and free fries and chili. And while we're not a fan of the cold, we were fans of the food (just wish my chili instax photo wasn't so blurry!). Tate and I met up with some roommates at the resort and we were all laughing the entire time. There aren't many things better than a cup of chili and good friends.

friday night date night.

Friday nights are our date nights. We started dinner with dessert first and got concrete ice cream and then ate burgers and way too many fries. I'm still not sure what the difference is between regular ice cream and concrete ice cream but oh man, it was good. Just might have to go again this week!

currently listening to.

I haven't done much blogging lately but I have been listening to a ton of music. I'm one of those people that can't start studying until music is playing. When "Shell Suite" by Chad Valley played during Warm Bodies, I was secretly screaming inside. Because more people need to know about Chad Valley (and Warm Bodies was like, the best movie ever). Listen to these bands, I dare you.

february love.

What?! It's February already? Now accepting sponsors for the best month of the year.

Ads run for 30 days at a time and it's only a few step process. Upload your photo, say a little bit about yourself, and it's up on the site! (Ads run through Passionfruit). We love new friends on the site, so a "sponsor" post is optional too, just let me know in a message. Email me at allisoncelestia.blog (at) gmail (dot) com if you have any questions!

for the home.

We've started buying small apartment stuff here and there and it's so fun thinking about having our own place very soon. Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie is a very dangerous site when you're looking at their home decor.... but I keep finding myself creating a shopping cart full of stuff anyways. Should I spend that much money on a chair? It's the biggest debate with myself (and my bank account). But right now I can't think of anything better than salmon pink, bright red, and mint all together. All items can be found here.

polaroid one step.

Hello February! January flew by so so fast but I'm glad it's a new month. New goals and new plans ahead. I got this polaroid camera in the mail yesterday and I'm really excited about it. Slowly but surely our polaroid camera collection is growing... and this one just might be my favorite.
