It looked like this was going to be the last warm weekend of the season, so my sister in law and I took full advantage of it with a hike close to home. For such a short hike (1.9 miles) I'd say this view is pretty rewarding. Every time I'm sitting on these rocks I can't get over how lucky I am to live in Washington... I mean look at all of those green trees!

  3. This is so true! After years in the east and midwest, i can't even express how lucky you are to have this beauty surrounding you! Maine and Vermont are beautiful, but just don't compare...

  10. View is quite similar to ours, if I just go little further away from the city. But I guess your trees are taller than ours. Or is it Canada... ^^ Anyways, lovely photos. Your floral headdress is totally adorable and I want one too, who cares that it's almost fall. ^^

  12. i really really want to move to washington. for only a 1.9 mile hike, this is a great view. this state just seems too good to be true. it's mine and my husbands goal to move there someday soon
