favorite part of my room.

We started taking instax photos together pretty soon after meeting each other and we haven't stopped taking instant photos since. Instant photos are pretty great, but what do you do with the photos after they develop? I'd usually put them in a box for safe keeping or tape them on my wall. But then I bought this giant frame and put all of our photos in it. I'm really happy with it. And I cannot wait to make a frame more photos at the end of each year!

  1. I just got an Instax today - I cannot wait to get started taking photos. What a lovely way to document your relationship! If you don't mind my asking, how easy do you find the Diana to use? I don't have much experience with toy cameras, but I'd like to start. Do you think the Diana would be a good starting point for a lomo novice? Any advice would be much appreciated! I love all your pics. x

    1. To be honest, I purchased both of those Diana cameras around October and I still haven't developed the film yet! But they're small and easy to use so far. I'll let you know what the results are after I develop the film :)

    1. You're right. Film for polaroid 600's are really expensive. But they're worth it! I always get 600 film from the Impossible Project or Urban Outfitters (It's around 20 dollars a pack).

  3. This is amazing! I never really thought about instant photos much until I started following your blog. This is a great way to display so many happy memories :) what camera would you recommend to someone thinking about buying an instant?

    1. I'd go with the Fujifilm Instax 7s. It's relatively cheap on Amazon and the film isn't as expensive as Polaroid brand film. You should definitely get one!

  5. That giant frame is so perfect! I have a lot of polaroids and end up keeping them in a box rather than on display, but something like this would be perfect!

  11. Such a great idea! I also like the frames that are all stuck together but are individual frames at the same time, but I don't know if those are very good for instant photos. Probably not.

  16. Allison I love this! What a great idea! I think I'll have to start a collection pretty soon! Do you recommend Instax over Polaroid? xx

    1. I'd recommend Instax cameras over Polaroids. You can find a cheap vintage polaroid camera anywhere, but the film is SO expensive (around 20 dollars for a pack of 8 photos). On the other hand, the fujifilm instax cameras are a littler more expensive but the film is a lot cheaper and more reliable!

  20. Ah, that picture frame is such a good idea! My boyfriend just bought me a polaroid for Christmas and all I've done is keep them on my desk, haha. Perhaps I should take a page out of your book and frame em' too! :)

  21. Wow!! What a neat idea. I've seen people use these cameras for their guestbooks at weddings. But I love the idea of recording your whole relationship through polaroids!
