The day before our wedding I decorated five manila envelopes for each day of our honeymoon. I bought a ton of instax film and everyday we'd take at least ten photos. It's fun to watch your photos develop right in front of you, but even better when you keep it a surprise. So after we'd take a photo we'd slip the instax into the manila envelope and try not to peek at it for the rest of the day. We'd dump out the polaroids and look at them while we were eating dinner at the beach (bottom right photo). We'd laugh and reminisce about the fun things that happened earlier that day. And it gave us a little something extra to look forward to! Note to self: frame these photos like I have before.
one: my favorite animal in mexico, the "mexican lion"
two: cabo beach
three: found these pretty flowers while exploring
four: more beach
five: at the pier
six: zip lining adventures
seven: more exploring
eight: the sunset at our hotel
cutest idea! Gotta get me a polaroid one of these days :)

ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! Such great memories! Oh, and you look absolutely gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing idea! I sometimes really miss that amazing feeling you got when you were a kid and had all your disposable films developed at the end of a holiday. It was the best thing about coming home. I feel like I often don't print out photos enough and this is definitely prompting me to do it! I don't have an instax though - need to start dropping enormous hints to everyone I know... xox

ReplyDeletethat is the sweetest little thing! totally a great way to embrace the present and cherish the memories :) it looks like you guys had a fabulous time!
ReplyDeletegosh I love all your instax! I have one too, and absolutely love it. fun way to take pictures, for your outside pictures what setting did you use? I can't seem to get it right.
ReplyDeleteIt was really sunny outside, so I used the brightest setting and it turned out great. I heard if you put a piece of tape over the flash the colors are more natural and accurate, but I haven't tried it before!
Deleteoh I will have to try it! I am interested to see if that tape trick works! thanks so much for the help! I love your blog & your name ;)
