My only regret about this trip is that we couldn't stay longer. On Thursday we woke up to pancakes by my mom and then went on an ATV ride to a lake (pictures to come). I've never ridden a four-wheeler before so it was scary and thrilling! We decorated and rode bikes around town at least five times and by the evening we had dinner with family. I think we outdid ourselves with the decorations from last year! The best part was lighting off tiny fireworks in a school parking lot.... old school sparklers and smoke bombs. We're not sure when we'll see my parents next (school, work, expensive plane tickets, etc) so we're both glad we made the 6 hour trip to see them.
Note to self: go back to Wallace this summer for more than 24 hours!
Great photos! Looks like an awesome Fourth Of July. There's no place like home! x
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great 4th. We made a quicky trip for the 4th up to tahoe to see my family (my brothers in the naval academy so we don't know when we will see him next either), but now I'm wishing we could of spent weeks there.
ReplyDeletewell worth the few hour drive.
