sundance.

While my husband was in Oregon for a multi-day bike race I drove down to Utah to spend time with family. I had to go to Sundance. My mom came to Utah for the weekend too, so we drove up the canyon and spent the afternoon here. There aren't many places on earth as pretty as this one!

wedding part two.

See part one here.
It might have been raining on our wedding day, but I think it made everything a little more romantic. I mentioned it before but our reception was in a 100 year old schoolhouse with old wood floors and the building was surrounded by a horse pasture. So before the party we took photos outside and fed the ponies for fun. Looking back at these photos, I can't believe how green it is back home in Seattle! The rain was definitely worth the green photos.

p.s. For those who were wondering where my dress was from on my previous post... I bought it from BHLDN :)

keeping it real.

On Saturday we both got off of work and wanted to do something fun since the weather was so nice. It didn't take us long to decide to pack up and go camping (that's the best part about living in almost the middle of nowhere!). We drove up the canyon and pitched our tent in the prettiest forest by a creek. As we were roasting hot dogs Tate said, "This is the life". And it's true; there's nothing like escaping reality for the night and sitting by a fire and enjoying each others company. Just keeping it real.

reception details.

Yeah, this was the best day ever. Sometimes the little details are the best details. My mom nailed at making the decorations (and everyone else who helped setting up, too!). Spending time with the people we loved during our reception made our day that much better. I'll be showing more wedding photos soon!

P.S. Check out our photographer Jessica. She's the best!

inspiration, lately.

It's been too long since I've made an inspiration board like this. Lately anything outdoors is getting my creative juices flowing. And desert plants, too. We're going to Moab UT this summer for ten days and we c a n t wait. I've always wanted to go there but the timing has never been right. It's going to be a blast just exploring and exploring; and then some. Summer, here we come!

Check out some of my other inspiration, lately posts here, here, and here

weekend racing.

Tate had a cycling race over the weekend so we drove down to Utah to race and play. And he did great! The weekend was full of a lot of relaxing, a lot of food, and a lot of little cousins. Just what I needed. These next couple of weekends we might actually stay in Idaho and think of something creative to do here... more camping, maybe?

note to self: Next time Tate races bring a megaphone!
