highlining.

Yesterday was definitely one of the more exciting/adventurous days over here in Rexburg. One of Tate's friends walked us to this super secret spot where he set up a platform 80 feet high in the trees. 80 feet! Our goal was to set up a highline between two trees and walk across it (kind of like tight rope walking).

This was my favorite part for sure! We harnessed in and had to lift ourselves up to the platform. I won't share the part where I was panicking half to death about heights...

In the progress of setting up the line.

That's the line we're going to attempt walk across. We were up there for a while setting it up (don't worry mom, we were making sure it was safe!) but thunder and lightning came rolling in as soon as it was all set up, so we went back down to the ground. Even though I didn't get the chance to walk across is yesterday, I think we're going to attempt again this weekend maybe. Either way, this whole experience was awesome and I felt like I was back in Washington where green trees are the only thing you can see around you. And being with people who really appreciate being outside.

note to self: do more crazy things like this.
