for the home.

We've started buying small apartment stuff here and there and it's so fun thinking about having our own place very soon. Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie is a very dangerous site when you're looking at their home decor.... but I keep finding myself creating a shopping cart full of stuff anyways. Should I spend that much money on a chair? It's the biggest debate with myself (and my bank account). But right now I can't think of anything better than salmon pink, bright red, and mint all together. All items can be found here.

  7. I honestly have to give myself a pep-talk before going in to Anthropologie.
Without a doubt, I walk in and want *everything*. Their clothes are one thing, but the home decor section is straight up ridiculous. (Can't I just live in the store?) My problem, of course, is that I don't usually go shopping with thousands of dollars to spend, and when their rugs are priced for $2,000 it's easy to get discouraged.

However! I recently made some compromises.
Even though I wanted to buy big things like one of their beautiful lamps or their vintage couches (on sale for just $5,000!) I saved up some gift cards and extra tips from work, and put it all towards small home decor pieces. I bought flower vases, pillows, candles, placemats, and coffee mugs. It was still spendy, but I got a lot more for my money and these smaller pieces really stand out in my apartment.

    Happy shopping! ;)

  13. Such a dreamy combo of colors and items! Maybe hold off on the chair and see if you can thrift one for cheaper? If not, it's such a lovely purchase anyways. Have a lovely day!

  15. Oh man, I am right there with you. Both stores have killer home decor right now. I definitely recommend thrifting/antiquing to get the same look for less. (I saw that rug last week and had to remind myself that we need food and shelter more than that rug. Being an adult's the worst ;)

  23. All your chosen items are delightful - my favourite has to be the moon poster though. UO are very difficult to resist when it comes to their home section, I've purchased things like teacups, cushions and a rug for my future home and I'm years off it yet!! But if you see the perfect item, you have to snap it up :) x
